The short version: By default Deflicker does everything on
your iPhone and your videos never leave it. Only if you choose Fusion
is the clip you picked uploaded to our servers, processed, sent back to you,
and deleted within 24 hours. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no ads,
and we never sell or share your data.
Who we are
Deflicker ("the app", "we", "us") is developed by Silent Co, LLC. This policy
explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Deflicker iOS
application only.
Data we collect
There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics SDKs, no advertising,
and no third-party trackers. The only data that ever leaves your device is
what Fusion needs, and only when you use it:
The video you choose to process with Fusion. It is uploaded
over an encrypted connection, used only to remove flicker from it, and
deleted from our servers, together with the result, within 24 hours.
A random install identifier created by the app. It is not
tied to your name, Apple ID, or device hardware, and is used only to give
match Fusion purchases to your install and to keep track of Fusion clips
you have bought.
Your App Store purchase receipts (signed by Apple), so our
server can confirm your subscription or Fusion clips before processing. They
contain product and transaction identifiers and dates, not your name or
payment details.
Fusion runs on our cloud GPU provider, Modal Labs, which processes the
video on our behalf and does not use it for anything else.
Your videos and photo library
When you choose a video, iOS asks your permission to access your photo
library. Deflicker uses this only to let you pick a clip and to save the
finished video back — always at your request.
The standard flicker removal happens locally on your device;
those videos are never uploaded, streamed, or sent anywhere.
Fusion is optional and clearly labelled. A video is uploaded only after
you choose Fusion for it.
Temporary working copies created during processing are stored in the
app's private storage and removed by the system; they are never shared.
Purchases
Deflicker Pro subscriptions and Fusion clip packs are sold through Apple's App
Store using In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; we never see or
receive your name, payment card, or Apple ID. Subscriptions are managed and
cancelled in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Apple's handling of purchase
data is governed by
Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children's privacy
Deflicker is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
information from children.
Data retention & security
Videos uploaded for Fusion and their results are deleted automatically within
24 hours. Fusion clip counts and redeemed purchase identifiers are kept for as
long as needed to honour what you bought. Everything else stays on your device
under iOS's standard app sandbox and security. We never sell or share your
data.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the date above. Material changes will
be reflected in an app update.
